Hi There!

I’m Loraine, a doula, a steady hand, and a calm presence for mothers and their partners as they prepare to welcome their baby into the world.

I believe that birth is not only about bringing a baby earthside—it’s about the transformation of a woman into a mother, and a couple into parents. My role is to walk beside you through this sacred transition with care, knowledge, and unwavering support.

I’m also a mother of three, and I’ve experienced both hospital and home birth. I understand firsthand how powerful, vulnerable, and deeply personal this journey can be. That lived experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to support you not just with tools and information—but with genuine empathy, perspective, and care.

My doula work is rooted in the teachings of Eyla Cuenca, whose approach combines physiological birth wisdom, emotional presence, trauma-informed care, and postpartum nourishment. Through this lens, I support the full arc of your experience—body, mind, and heart—helping you feel safe, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

As your doula, I work with both mothers and fathers to help them feel connected, prepared, and confident. Whether it’s offering comfort measures in labor, supporting your partner to be present and involved, or helping you settle gently into the postpartum period, I’m here to honor your unique story as it unfolds.

Outside of birth work, you’ll often find me enjoying slow mornings, spending time in nature, or preparing meals for loved ones. I bring that same grounded, nourishing energy into every home and birth space I enter.

It’s an honor to support families during this life-changing time—to offer steady guidance, heartfelt reassurance, and a sense of calm as you step into parenthood with strength, connection, and confidence.
